Studio Coordinator (Part-Time – 30 hrs/week)
Island Circus Space is looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive person to support the daily operations of our circus studio. This role is the heart of our front-of-house operations: helping students and families navigate the studio, coordinating systems behind the scenes, and keeping the space running smoothly.

Position Details
Hours: 30 hours per week (6 hours per day, Monday–Friday)
Typical in-studio schedule:
Summer: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Fall / School Year: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Additional Hours:
Occasional evening and weekend shifts may be required to support events, shows, and other studio needs.
Employment Type: Permanent (not contract), with a 3-month probation period
Rate of Pay: $22 / hour

Studio Operations
Provide front desk support for students and families
Help clients navigate the Mindbody system: booking classes, purchasing memberships, and troubleshooting
Manage daily communications (phone, email, and in-person inquiries)
Process cancellations and manage class waitlists
Maintain overall studio organization and readiness for programming
Coordination & Systems
Coordinate cleaning and upkeep of the space (working with contracted cleaners and/or volunteer teams)
Support basic equipment organization and maintenance tracking systems
Help ensure smooth day-to-day operations across programs
Kids Program Administration
Support safe student check-ins, pick-ups, and drop-offs
Assist families with registrations and scheduling
Communicate day-to-day updates with parents and guardians

Criminal Record Check (required for working with children)
Basic First Aid certification
Experience working with children and families
Strong communication and organizational skills
Professional email and phone etiquette
Comfortable learning and using software systems
Ideal candidate:
Experience in a similar role at a dance studio, gymnastics gym, or recreation facility
Customer service experience (in person and online)
Tech-savvy and able to troubleshoot scheduling systems
Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and move moderately heavy mats and circus equipment
Comfortable being on your feet and active throughout a shift
